These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of Bible Verse Widget: Daily (the “App”), including its home-screen widgets, provided by EpDelegate (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the App.
1. The App
The App shows Bible verses inside the App and on your home screen through widgets. It is free to use and doesn’t require an account. Features may change as we improve the App.
2. Your licence to use the App
We give you a personal, non-commercial, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, in line with these Terms and the terms of the store you got it from (such as Google Play).
3. Acceptable use
When using the App, you agree not to:
- copy, modify, distribute, sell or rent the App, or any part of it, including its design, artwork and backgrounds;
- reverse engineer, decompile or try to extract the App’s source code, except where the law allows this;
- interfere with the App or the services it relies on, or try to access them in unauthorised ways;
- use the App in a way that breaks any law or harms other people.
4. Content and sharing
The App’s design, artwork, backgrounds, icons and software belong to EpDelegate or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
You’re welcome to share verse images and text created with the App’s share feature for personal, non-commercial purposes, such as sending them to friends or posting them on social media. Please don’t sell them or present the App’s artwork as your own product.
Not professional advice. The App offers verses for personal devotion and encouragement, including on topics such as anxiety, grief and loneliness. It is not a substitute for medical, psychological or other professional advice. If you are struggling or in crisis, please reach out to a qualified professional or your local emergency services.
5. Third-party services and links
The App uses services from third parties, such as Google Play and Google Firebase, which are governed by their own terms and policies. The App may also open web pages or the store listing; we are not responsible for the content or practices of sites and services we don’t control.
6. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects and how it is used. It forms part of these Terms.
7. Updates and availability
We may update the App, change or remove features, or stop offering it at any time. Some updates may be required to keep using the App; if a version stops working properly, the App may ask you to update before continuing. We don’t guarantee that the App will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Disclaimer
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, EpDelegate will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App. Because the App is free, our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for it, which is zero.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded or limited by agreement.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your right to use the App if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms. Sections 4, 8 and 9 continue to apply after that.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If you keep using the App after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
